What area does Gloria Cover?

Gloria being 51 years old travels slowly so we generally limit events to within a 25 mile radius of our base near  Henfield, West Sussex, and she is not allowed to travel on motorways. Areas covered are Brighton, Hove, Worthing, Littlehampton, Henfield, Pulborough, Storrington, Steyning, Billingshurst, Hassocks, Horsham, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill and Crawley.

How much does it cost to hire Gloria?

As a guide, (based on a wedding reception or celebration with 100 guests) £495 secures Gloria's attendance for 2 hours and includes unlimited ice cream and a complimentary sauce and sprinkles table.

As every celebration is unique we will work with you to tailor our services to your needs. We can adjust your package to suit your requirements and the number of people attending.

We have a minimum booking time of 2 hours, but if you need Gloria to stay longer a fee of £75 per 30 minutes applies. Our minimum fee is based on catering for 70 guests, but we are happy to attend celebrations with less guests should you wish.

We are happy to discuss pitch or attendance fees for festivals, and can provide a 10% donation scheme for any charity or fund raising events Gloria attends.

How can I pay?

To hire Gloria for any event, party, or wedding we require a £100 deposit to secure your booking. This deposit can be paid via BACS transfer. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the event date, at which time final guest numbers should also be confirmed.

If we are attending a village fete or community event where we sell directly to the public, both cash and contactless card payments are accepted.

How many ice creams can we have and what flavours do you stock? 

During the minimum hire period of two hours at a wedding or celebration guests can enjoy unlimited servings of ice cream or sorbet, which includes sprinkles and sauces!

Events ice cream is sold on a per-unit basis and prices start at £3.00 per scoop or tub, increasing to £3.50 if served with a flake, sauce or sprinkles.

Is Gloria and her staff certified?

We prioritise food safety, vehicle maintenance and adhering to the highest standards. Our operations are fully regulated by Horsham District Council and we have been awarded a food hygiene rating of 5 very good.

All staff have successfully undergone DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks, confirming no criminal records, and completed certified food hygiene courses.

Gloria is equipped with up-to-date PAT-tested electrical equipment, including extension leads for freezer operation, a fire extinguisher and first aid kit.

All relevant compliance certificates can be provided in advance via email or presented as hard copies on the day.

We are fully licensed to trade at public and private functions and hold comprehensive public liability insurance with coverage of £10,000,000 for your peace of mind.
